Jira Integration
Connect your Jira projects or issues to Segflow bets.
Overview
Jira is where execution lives. By connecting it to Segflow, you can link epics, stories, or projects directly to the bets they serve — giving stakeholders a unified view of both strategy and delivery.

How It Works
Segflow connects to Jira via OAuth. Once authorized, you can:
- Search for Jira issues, projects, or epics
- Link them directly to bets
- View status, assignee, and type directly in Segflow
Segflow only reads issue metadata — we never write back or modify Jira.
Setup Instructions
1. Connect Jira
Go to Integrations → New Integration → choose Jira. Authenticate via OAuth using your Atlassian account and select the workspace to connect.
2. Open a Bet
In your organization, open a bet where you want to track execution.
3. Add Work
Click Add Work, select Jira, and search for the issue, epic, or project you want to link.
4. Select & Save
Choose one or more issues to attach. They’ll appear under Work in your bet view, showing:
- Issue type and key (e.g., PROJ-124)
- Current status
- Assigned user
- Last update time
Permissions
Segflow inherits Jira’s native access controls. If teammates can’t open a linked issue, they’ll need permission inside Jira.
Best Practices
- Link high-level Jira items like Epics to strategic bets.
- Keep tactical issues inside Jira for day-to-day execution.
- Use Segflow for reasoning about impact, not task tracking.
