Cross Impact
Overview
The Cross Impact report estimates synergy and cannibalization between bets so portfolio impact reflects interaction effects, not just independent sums.
Use it when two initiatives may amplify each other or compete for the same users/channel.
What You Get
- Pair-level effect classification: synergy, cannibalization, or neutral
- Adjusted portfolio impact: base impact plus interaction adjustments
- Per-bet adjusted impact: each bet’s share of interaction contribution
- Warnings when no active interaction pairs are present
Input Structure
- Bets: base impact for each initiative
- Interactions: pairwise interaction strength in
[-1, 1]- positive = synergy
- negative = cannibalization
- Optional selected set: analyze only a subset of bets
Notes & Limits
- This MVP uses pairwise interactions only (no higher-order interaction terms).
- Interaction strengths are user-provided estimates, not inferred causally in this version.
- Adjustments are capped to prevent unstable over-corrections in sparse evidence scenarios.
